Cornish and British Minerals
I have been field collecting Cornish minerals for over fifty years with several breaks while bringing up a growing family and starting my engineering business. It is not my aim to become a fully fledged mineral dealer as there are many other things in life to occupy my time as you will see on this site.
I have been lucky enough to acquire several very old collections over the years, some of the specimens from which are of no interest to me but are never the less of very high quality, some dating back to the 19th century.
Arsenopyrite Crystal Cluster. Wheal Kitty. Ex D Jenkin coll . Ex Wickett coll, pre 1920.
A solid arsenopyrite matrix with crystals to 12mm, a really special piece from the late Donald Jenkin collection of Penzance and previously in the James Wickett collection. A small 50mm specimen but in perfect condition.

Molybdenite crystal. Hingston Down Quarry, Gunnislake, Cornwall.
A stained quartz matrix about 45 mm diameter but with a large 22 mm molybdenite rosette type crystal on the top face, one of the largest we have seen or collected.

A solid mass of white crystallised arsenolite collected from the flue labyrinth in the 1980's the blue tinged crystals being the result of copper leaching.
